Directions to the Vaughan Homestead:

-Follow Route 201/Water St. into Hallowell from either direction

-Turn onto Central St. going uphill away from the river. 

-Any side street opposite the river on 201/Water St. will take you up to 2nd St. - Temple, Union, etc.

-Take your 1st Left onto 2nd St. 

-You will come to a sharp bend on 2nd St. where it turns into Litchfield Rd. The Homestead gates will be on your left in the “elbow” of the bend just before the road goes right. Look for brick pillars with “2 Litchfield Road” written on them. There is no sign for the Homestead.
