Fiddlehead Talk and Walk

The Fiddlehead Program is now filled-thank you for your interest.

Join the Kennebec Land Trust for a lecture and walk with Dave Fuller to explore fiddleheads on a KLT property.

Learn how to properly identify and sustainably harvest and cook Ostrich Fern fiddleheads in this program. Part of the program will be outside, so bring your boots!

Dave Fuller is an Agriculture and Non-Timber Forest Product Professional with the University of Maine Cooperative Extension. His past research has included a study on the effects of harvesting fiddleheads from wild fern stands.

Space is limited so please RSVP soon, no later than Tuesday, May 2. The program will be in the capital area-the exact meeting location will be shared when you RSVP. RSVP by calling our office at 207-377-2848 or email KBrewer@tklt.org.
