Safety and Wellness Guidance
Dress prepared for a walk in the woods. Closed-toed shoes and long pants are always recommended to prevent tick bites.
Weather: We will monitor the forecast and postpone if conditions look poor (thunderstorms, high wind, and/or strong rain).
COVID-19 Guidance:
Plan to arrive wearing a mask when we gather in the parking area. Plan on wearing your mask if you are unable to stay six feet from other participants. There are pinch points along the trail where it may be more difficult to maintain six feet of distance between each other. Our instructor may need to remove her mask to allow everyone to hear her, so please be mindful of at least six feet of space. Thank you for your cooperation in making this a safe event for everyone.
Please be sure you are up-to-date on the State of Maine’s expectations for quarantine of out-of-state travelers (some states are exempt). We ask that you fully comply with the quarantine or testing requirement (as applicable to you) before attending a KLT event.
Do not participate in the program if you are sick or experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19.
Please practice good hygiene including cover your mouth if you sneeze or cough.
We will provide hand sanitizer, however, hand washing stations or restrooms are not available. We will not provide snacks or water and guests should be prepared with everything they need.
Due to the ongoing State of Emergency, changing guidance from the State of Maine, or organizational capacity, the Kennebec Land Trust (KLT) may need to cancel, reschedule, or modify, our programs and events. State guidelines are frequently updated and amended and the KLT reserves the right to request additional information at the time of the event if required by law.
