Great Cobbossee Watershed Cleanup

  • Webber Rogers Farmstead Conservation Area 586 Plains Rd Litchfield, ME, 04350 United States (map)

Saturday, April 23, 8:00 - 12:00 PM
Litchfield and Gardiner

Calling all volunteers! Celebrate Earth Day and help clean up the Cobbossee Watershed with Kennebec Land Trust, Upstream, Gardiner Main Street, Friends of Cobbossee Watershed, Gardiner Boys and Girls Club, Gardiner Rotary, Kennebec Valley Trout Unlimited, and area organizations on Saturday, April 23 from 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM followed by a celebration BBQ hosted by Gardiner Boys and Girls Club. KLT will be focusing on cleaning up heavily used sections of Cobbossee Stream between the Webber Rogers Farmstead and Wakefield Wildlife Sanctuary.

Last year close to 700 pounds of trash was removed from our stream and watershed by 31 volunteers. We hope this year’s larger community collaboration will result in even more trash and debris cleared away.

Working together we can make our streams, lakes and rivers sparkle keeping our rivers, lakes, streams and oceans healthy.

Thank you for making this a great day!
