Camp Bearnstow, Mount Vernon
PREREGISTRATION REQUIRED
Join Associate Professor of Biology at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts and Past-President of the Maine Josselyn Botanical Society Eric Doucette for a field-based plant identification workshop. Learn about the plants found at Camp Bearnstow in Mount Vernon. Eric will focus on Maine medicinal plants, common lookalikes and guidebook use. Cost: $5 registration fee.
Directions to Camp Bearnstow (84 Bearnstow Rd, Mount Vernon):
From Readfield: Travel north on Route 41 towards Mount Vernon. Continue approximately one mile past the Echo Lake Public Boat Ramp and turn left on the Ithiel Gordon Rd. Drive 2.5 miles on Ithiel Gordon Rd and then turn left on Bearnstow Road (look for a KLT event sign and the Camp Bearnstow sign). Stay left at the first fork and follow the signs for Camp Bearnstow.
