Join KLT stewardship staff for an “off-trail” excursion at the North Acres Wildlife Conservation Area in Manchester on Saturday, March 2 at 10 AM. The group will explore the farm fields, surrounding woodlands and along the shores of the Tanning and Bond Brooks. Participants should bring snowshoes, skis and/or ice grippers depending on conditions and should be comfortable traveling off-trail in winter conditions.

Safety and Wellness Guidance: Please dress prepared for an off-trail winter hike in the woods, and bring water and snacks. Participants should plan on bringing snowshoes, skis, and/or ice grippers depending on conditions and should be comfortable traveling off-trail in winter conditions. This may include uneven terrain and moving over or around down trees and branches.

Directions: From Route 202 in Manchester, turn north on Puddledock Road. Continue for approximately two miles to Prescott Rd. and turn left. Continue 0.4 miles to Lyons Road and turn right and continue 0.4 miles to the gate on Old Wade Road (known more recently as the Whit-Lee Road). Please Park along the shoulder of Lyons Road.
