Property Description: The sixty-eight-acre Wagner Woods Conservation Area protects valuable woodland, wetland, and field habitats and features impressive stone ledges and walls, as well as scenic views of Manchester Bog and Cobbosseecontee Lake. Wagner Woods is contiguous with the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife’s 1,140-acre Jamie’s Pond Wildlife Management Area and the 228-acre Town of Manchester conservation lands. Taken together, these 1,436 acres comprise an ecologically significant conservation landscape.
Directions: From Pond Road in Manchester, turn east on Elliott Ave and look for KLT signs. Please park along road.
Usage and Trails:
Allowable uses: Nature observation and hunting. No designated hiking trails. No motorized vehicles. Dogs are allowed on leash or under voice command. Trails are not planned for this location—this is an informal access for bushwhacking only. No commercial harvesting of mushrooms, berries & plants.
Parking and Access: Parking on Elliott Avenue in Manchester (no winter parking). Please park in a way that does not block the road or neighboring driveways. Wagner Woods can only be accessed through the woods. Please do not use the field for access.
