Although we won't be hosting our annual Lyceum in-person this year, we are thrilled to be able to offer a modified Zoom lunch lecture program.

An Introduction to Botany of Medicinal Plants

Eric Doucette, PhD Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, Assistant Professor of Biology

  ¨ Correct identification of medicinal plants

 ¨ Non-toxic or non-medicinal  look-alikes

 ¨ Conserving rare species while collecting medicinals

 

The full Lyceum Maine Medicinal Plants: Cultural Uses, Ecology & Botany program is scheduled to take place in-person in March 2022.

The 2022 program will feature full lectures from Jennifer Neptune, Eric Doucette and Deb Soule, Herbalist and founder of Avena Botanicals and a field program.
