As a part of the University of Maine Augusta Winter Lecture Series, Kennebec Land Trust’s (KLT) Executive Director, Theresa Kerchner, will present an Introduction to Conservation Burial.
The Kennebec Land Trust will soon be opening our region’s first conservation burial ground on Baldwin Hill in Fayette. Conservation burial grounds offer ecologically sound burial practices that protect the environment and human health. This model also goes beyond “green cemeteries” or similar designations by permanently protecting a larger tract of open space. This class is for all who are interested in this growing movement or KLT's project. Bring your curiosity and questions.
