Join us for our third year of what has quickly become a favorite program of many attendees. Join Lisa Kane, MDIFW IFW Education Coordinator, and learn about the loons, eagles, and osprey of Cobbossee Lake. Participants will meet at Lakeside Motel and Cottages in East Winthrop for a short loon/eagle/osprey natural history program, then head out on pontoon boats for the two-hour tour. Bring water and binoculars. This program is presented in partnership with Friends of the Cobbossee Watershed. Feel free to pack a snack or brown bag dinner. $15 adults, $5 children 8-18, 7 and under free. 18 participant maximum. Preregister by calling the KLT office at 377-2848 or emailing glamarche@tklt.org.
The Kennebec Land Trust (KLT) works cooperatively with landowners and communities to conserve the forests, shorelands, fields, and wildlife that define central Maine. KLT protects land permanently, offers opportunities for people to learn about and enjoy the natural world, and works with partners to support sustainable forestry and farming.
