Bring your snowshoes, ice cleats, or hiking boots and join us for a hike at the Peter Miller Woodland, a beautiful, sixty-acre upland and wetland forest with stone walls, woods roads, two small ponds, and a simple cabin. The mixed forest features white pine, eastern hemlock, red spruce, balsam fir, red maple, brown and white ash, and white and yellow birch. Robin, Holly, and Lynette’s generous gift to the Kennebec Land Trust honors the former owner, their brother Peter Miller. All ages are welcome.
The Kennebec Land Trust (KLT) works cooperatively with landowners and communities to conserve the forests, shorelands, fields, and wildlife that define central Maine. KLT protects land permanently, offers opportunities for people to learn about and enjoy the natural world, and works with partners to support sustainable forestry and farming.
